Our engineered oak is looking worn. Is it sandable?

Probably yes, though we need to check the wear layer thickness at the site visit. Most engineered oak fitted in the 2000s and 2010s has a 3–6mm wear layer, which allows at least one or two more sands. Very thin-layer products (under 2mm) may not. Do you carry out work outside of weekdays?

We offer free site visits seven days a week. Work scheduling depends on the project, but we’re happy to discuss weekend starts for Weybridge customers who need it, particularly for larger projects where you’d prefer the first noisy sanding day to fall on a weekend.

Can you restore a floor that has had underfloor heating fitted?
